My professional life would never have been the same if my mother, an internationally exhibited painter and sculptor, hadn't warned me "Never become an artist!" But for as long as I can remember I was going to art shows and documenting passages of my life with cameras.I had a natural affinity to viewing the world through a lens and the camera increased my level of comfort while interacting with it. In my senior year at college I photographed the Vassar yearbook. Unexpected headlines in the NY Times, People Magazine and Esquire,…continue to photographer portfolio page
My interest in art dates back to my childhood. My father was a successful painter and he always encouraged me to attend art school. I attended Parsons School of Design in NYC where I received an MFA in Photography, and graduated with honors. My first year out of school was spent working as a freelance photography assistant for fashion and editorial photographers. One day, my roommate came home one day with a business card of a wedding photographer. I found myself at the Sleepy Hollow Country Club one Saturday in…continue to photographer portfolio page
My mother was an avant-garde Greenwich Village artist and my dad was a rabbi and together we lived on the roof of the Chelsea Hotel. The hotel provided more excitement than I had film for: famous musicians' spontaneous concerts in the lobby, art openings, and I had the opportunity to photograph all of it. After several years I put together a photography exhibit of the work. I was a Photography major at the School of Visual Arts and upon graduating took my photojournalism specialization to Eastern Europe to shoot…continue to photographer portfolio page
I grew up in Herne, a small town in Germany. In my teens I fantasized I'd move to Berlin and be a graphic designer. But when I found photography I realized graphic design was too tedious and solitary that I needed to interact with people face to face. I decided to pursue a degree in Photography and my photojournalism professor Ulrich Mack, a top photographer in Europe, hired me to work in his studio. He taught me that it is one thing to photograph people; it is another to make…continue to photographer portfolio page
An award-winning photographer, Tilly’s approach is honest and fresh. With Gruber she has photographed some incredible events and continues to love the creativity afforded to shooting weddings “You don’t have the time to plan your shots capturing a wedding like you would in the studio shooting fashion. You have to be creative on the spot, reacting to the action and creating the most beautiful and dynamic interpretation of it”. Tilly takes pride in documenting the story of your event as it unfolds in the most natural and unobtrusive way. Tilly…continue to photographer portfolio page
My name is JJ and I am a photographer. With a great big smile. Everyone is led down a path for various reasons, here is my story: I found a camera in a closet when I was young it put a spell on me. I was completely fascinated by its mechanics; it’s magic to create a still image. And I then realized that a still image could tell a story. I knew there was nothing else but the path of photography for me so I took some steps to allow…

Born and raised in New York, Massimo grew up in a multi cultural home speaking multiple languages. By a very early age he was taken with travel and adventure photography. His favorite photographic journal was National Geographic, and has travelled extensively with the same curiosity and verve of the photographers who photograph for the magazine. Through his personal work Massimo learned that patience was vital for great photography. He applies the same lessons that nature photographers do to his wedding work. He stays very low key and takes his time…continue to photographer portfolio page
