Your Last-Minute Wedding Checklist

Your special day is almost here and there are a million things to do. It can get hectic, and a lot of the small things are bound to slip through the cracks. So read over our last-minute wedding checklist to make sure you stay on top of everything before you walk down the aisle.

Your Last-Minute Wedding Checklist Final dress fitting

Once you have gone for your final dress fitting, stick with your normal eating patterns so your figure stays the same. Do a wedding outfit practice run-through with your mom and put on everything: your underthings, dress, shoes, and jewelry so you are 100% comfortable in the outfit and look. Have a full-length mirror handy and have your mom take some pictures. Also be sure to practice walking in the outfit to make sure everything you are wearing feels comfortable.

Break in your shoes

At your wedding, you’re going to be on your feet for a long time. Make sure those Jimmy Choos are comfortable on the wedding day by wearing them around the house for a short period each day until they are comfortable. Some brides buy two pairs and break in one while leaving the other untouched for the photographs.

Pack for your honeymoon

After such a big day, the last thing you’ll want to do is go pack for your honeymoon. Plus, in the excitement, you’re bound to forget something. Avoid this. Start laying out your honeymoon clothes a week before your wedding, adding a little and subtracting a little every day.

Pack an emergency kit

Things happen, so it’s best to be prepared when you do. Get a bag together that has all of the essentials—band aids, a small sewing kit, pain killers, extra hair products and makeup, you name it. Anything you think you might need, throw it in. You’ll be sorry later if you don’t.

Meet with your wedding planner

Sometime in the final week to ten days, sit down with your wedding planner one more time to go over any last-minute details or to ask any lingering questions.

And, of course, talk with your photographer

Just as you should sit down with your wedding planner, be sure to chat with your photographer. Share both the timeline for your wedding day, and your list of family and wedding party group photos. At Gruber Photographers, we’ll do everything we can to make your wedding photography seamless. Give us a call at 212-262-9777 with any last-minute questions you may have before the big day!
