Ian and Morgan’s story is a tale of serendipity, love, and chance. Years before the couple officially met through mutual friends, they crossed paths in the Adirondacks, where they went to brother-sister camps.
“At camp our brother’s were friends and Ian actually knew my brother as well. Seeing as Ian and I were the same age, our camps had social get-togethers and we are confident we met during that time. Even today, Lake George in the Adirondacks holds a special place in our hearts.”
Their wedding took place at Guastavino’s in New York City, chosen for its historic architecture and surrounding views. The archways and the stone arch made it an ideal place for photos of the couple and the entire wedding party. Guastavino’s also has its own caterer that made the wedding cake and food.
The bride was set on having accents of color throughout her wedding, starting with her Carolina Herrera dress, which had flakes of gold. To create an atmosphere of warmth in the harsh winter, they decided on a rich fall colors palette.
Morgan’s mom, Linda Handsman, played an integral role in planning and the overall vision of the wedding. Her stationary company, Phantastic Papers, designed the invitations, napkins, and table cards. “Once we decided on the colors, she really used her imagination to tie every little detail together. “
The most breathtaking part of the décor was the chuppah, designed by Metro Floral Decorators, with its grand bohemian look.
Nothing ends a momentous occasion better than celebrating by dancing the night away. Element Music provided the live band that played the couples favorite songs, and entertained the guests.
“The night was so special. It was incredible to be surrounded by so many people who wanted to celebrate our lives and us together.”
This was an incredible wedding to photograph because of the love the couple shares for one another.
