On December 13, 2014, New York City held its annual SantaCon, a costume party where people dressed as Santa Claus and other Christmas characters come together for a massive celebration. Started in San Francisco in 1994, this tradition has grown to be held in cities across the globe, with NYC being one of the biggest ones. This year, the event took place in Times Square early Saturday morning with the weather being a brisk 32 degrees. Standing on a giant ladder and dressed as a Santa himself, Terry Gruber used a 8×10 Deardorf camera with a 210mm lens and some Portra 400 film to capture the image below.
